What is Tees Valley ‘Make It Happen?’
Tees Valley Works Make It Happen is a funded project which works in partnership with a network of voluntary and community groups to offer unemployed people aged 25 – 60 who live in the Tees Valley support in completing a tailored employability training course which lasts for a minimum of six weeks and help in securing employment.
Also, for individuals registering onto a Tees Valley Works project support, advice and guidance will be available to help people move into suitable employment.
What services are available for learners?
- Information, Advice and Guidance
- Support by a training provider in your local area to complete a tailored employability training course.
- Mentoring and Counselling Support.
- In-Work benefit advice.
- Employer visits and work experience.
- Support in moving the learner into employment opportunities.
- Child and Co-Dependent care may be available.
What is an Employability Training course?
It is a people centred, cohesive and tailored programme which aims to develop the skills, attitudes and attributes that are valued by local employers.

What are the commitments?
As this project is funded, there are only a limited number of places available. Therefore, we ask that all learners registering with a provider:
- Must be determined and be prepared to commit yourself to complete the employability training course.
In return, your training provider will make all effort in assisting you to successfully complete your course and will then support you to move into suitable employment.
