Tees Valley Works for Women
What Is Tees Valley Works For Women?
Tees Valley Works for Women is a funded project which works in partnership with a network of voluntary and community groups to provide unemployed and employed women accredited training opportunities, information, advice and guidance services and support in moving into employment, Further Education or other training opportunities.
If you are an unemployed or employed female aged 16 to 65 living in the Tees Valley area (that is the Boroughs of Darlington, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland and Stockton) then we may be able to help you.
What Does Tees Valley Works Offer?
- Information, Advice and Guidance Services.
- Support by a provider in your local area to complete an accredited training course.
- Training available which allows learners to use the service on a drop in basis, thereby increasing flexibility.
- Support to progress into employment, Futher Education or other training opportunities.
What Accredited Courses Are Available?
Courses available under this project are customised to meet the needs of the learner. There are many accredited training courses available, for example, NVQs in Business and Administration, Intermediate Award in Childcare, Diploma in Painting and Decorating and courses relating to improving your literacy and numeracy skills.
For further details of all courses available please contact your local training provider on 01429 239541.
What Are The Commitments?
As this project is funded there are only a limited number of places available. Therefore, we ask that all learners registering with a provider:
- Must be determined and be prepared to commit yourself to completing a qualification.
In return your training provider will make all efforts in assisting you to successfully complete your course and will then support you to consider other employment opportunities or assist you to progress into Further Education or other training opportunities.
